Hoops on Wheels 2018

The clock is ticking! Only 6 more weeks until GSIL’s Hoops on Wheels wheelchair basketball tournament returns to Concord. So, time to check your shooting skills and freshen up on your dribbling. We’re looking forward to a great day on the basketball court.

On Saturday, March 3rd, teams of 8-10 players will be taking to the courts in wheelchairs — whether you have a disability or not! This event is sure to make you laugh, make you sore and make a difference in the lives of others. So grab your friends, grab your family, even grab your co-workers and put together a team. Whether you’re 16 or 66, everyone is invited to play!

Games all Day – Two Different Formats

Games begin at 8:00 am at Rundlett Middle School, and play continues all day in the school’s two gyms, with the championship game and awards ceremony commencing around 5:00 pm. Two game formats are available — the competitive bracket or recreational round robin. You get to choose your league! There will be classic concessions, event t-shirts and the GSIL cheerleaders to cheer you on.

Fundraising is Supposed to be Fun

Each team is responsible for fundraising at least $1000 (~$120/player). Don’t worry, the process is simple and you will receive the tools to make it as easy as possible! This year we have introduced a NEW platform for you to take your fundraising efforts online. everydayhero makes it easy to raise money online. Share your fundraising page on Facebook, or copy the URL and send links to potential donors through email.

People are always happy to help! Remember to thank your donors and sponsors for their generosity. If you can, a hand written thank you note is always appreciated. All proceeds directly support Granite State Independent Living and its programs designed to help seniors and people with disabilities live life independently.
