Youth Services

You can become actively involved in creating your own future by using the resources offered by GSIL’s Youth Services Department. Through skills training programs, peer groups, and activities, you can set and begin achieving your education goals and future career plans. Family members, schools, area agencies and employers will also find GSIL’s Youth Services to be a useful source of information and support.

  • Transition Planning Support: Transitioning from school to work or post-secondary education is a milestone in the life of every young person. Through GSIL’s Transition Planning Support program, you and your family can:

    • Learn about the transition processes for young people with disabilities

    • Gain information and referrals on services available after high school

    • Develop Individual Education Plans

    • Understand the impact of earnings on your benefit

Get in the driver’s seat of your future and contact GSIL today. Our Youth Services coordinators will meet with you one-on-one to assess your interests and needs and will make recommendations on links to services through GSIL and other service agencies.
