PCSP Program

Personal Care Services Program
The Personal Care Services Program (PCSP) is a self-directed program which allows individuals real choice and control over their personal care services. GSIL’s experienced Personal Care Nurses or Personal Care Service Coordinators help individuals design programs tailored to their needs and lifestyles, and teach them to successfully manage their personal care attendants and overall program. This program is funded by the New Hampshire Medicaid’s Choices for Independence Program.

The PCSP program is designed to help individuals maintain their independence in their homes, at school, at work and within their communities. Services may include:
• Bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming assistance;
• Nutrition and hydration assistance;
• Mobility assistance;
• Light housekeeping, meal preparation and cooking;
• Chore services;
• Household management assistance;
• Shopping and errand assistance; and
• Accessing community activities

Eligibility
To be eligible for PCSP services individuals must:
• Qualify for the New Hampshire Medicaid Choices for Independence Program; and
• Be able to direct their own care or have an authorized personal care services representative who acts on his/her behalf to manage and direct care.
